The planking has to be planed and sanded to a very smooth and fair surface before the first layer of ply is glued on.

Notice how the screws are placed so that the ply is pulled down tightly to the surface below. All screws are removed and filled with thickend epoxy as well as all staple holes and joints . Then everything is sanded to a fair surface and the plywood strips are placed at 90 degrees. This makes for an extremly strong hull.

The moulds (frames) were carefully taken from the table of offsets and set up on set intervals. The stem and forefoot is fastened in place and attached to the inner keel. The transom was glued up from three layers of 3/8 ply in a form I cut from several 2/10 and then hung in place.
